Two days after Hallie turned 2 years old she was potty trained except for at night! It took one whole day and then it was a done deal! I thought it was my technique...but I think it was that Hallie was just ready. With Addison it seemed only the right thing to do..her birthday was Saturday so Monday I put big girl undies on her (new Dora ones) and I was going to potty train her in one day Just like her sister! She was so proud to be wearing underwear like Hallie. She kept saying "mom I am like Hallie". I kept asking her "do you have to go potty?" and she would wrinkle her nose and say "nooooo". I even sat her on the potty a couple of times (nothing). Finally, she came to me and said "I go potty on the floor". So I calmly said ok- next time you tell mommy when you have to go. This is normal for training (accidents that is). Well I went to put her new clean underwear on and she said very STRONG WILLED LIKE "Addi wears diapers not undies"..I said, " dont you want to be a big girl like Hallie"? She replies "NO I AM LITTLE"! So there you have it- No two kids are alike ;o) Needless to say, we are going to give it a rest for a week or so!

I am very impressed that you put big girl underwear on her. Go mom!! You must have felt very motivated this morning. I keep thinking about trying it with Cole, but at this point it is still only a thought!!!
It is kinda scarey how much our little ones sound alike in some ways. Addasen was the same way. Although she was a little stubborn once she got it, it was done, not an accident since then, and it only took 1 day... Very lucky if I do say so myself. I hear girls are so much easier then boys.

Aw, such a true statement! Hallie seems like much more the "pleaser" whereas your little Addie definitely has a mind of her own and is sticking to it, isn't she!? :-)
to funny!!!!!! that Addi will do it in " Addi's own time"!!! For the time being she will 'be little" and that's okay because she will grown to quick as it is. She is tooo funny gotta love it!!!!! Love ya, Aunt Joy
